Barack Obama was the center of attraction for almost all the Indians this Republic Day 2015. Mann ki Baat was also super hit and unique due to the presence of Obama. But in this month’s radio session another thing caught my attention was the mention of  Benjamin Franklin.I think it has caught the attention of every listener.

Benjamin Franklin (1706 1790) was an inventor, publisher. scientist, and statesman, who is known as one of the Founding Fathers of the United States of America. He was a major figure in the Enlightenment, known as a printer, satirist, political theorist, civic activist and a diplomat, famous for his theories of electricity. He founded the first public lending library in America and first fire department in Pennsylvania.

Narendra Modi was full of praise about him and his life inspired him a lot. So off I’m reading his biography Benjamin Franklin by Walter Issacson. I have also read another biography written by Walter Issacson that is Steve Jobs and the author has done an excellent job with the biography of a difficult man like Steve Jobs. So its reading time for me now. My thoughts coming soon.
