Another Atom Bomb has exploded on UPA government and Congress. This time the bomb has been thrown by Arun Maira through his newly released book Redesigning the Aeroplane While Flying – Reforming Institutions by Arun Maira was the member of the India’s Planning Commission from 2009 to 2014, that is during the time period of UPA 2.

In the book, Arun Maira has carried forward the analysis of Sanjaya Baru and PC Parakh. Like Sanjaya and Parakh, Arun Maira is also of the opinion that Manmohan Singh was just the face of the government, it was Sonia Gandhi who was the real power and took all the shots. 

While The Accidental Prime Minister by Sanjaya Baru covers the time period between 2004 to 2008 that is UPA-1, Arun Maira talks in details specifically about UPA-2 while in general past 20 years since India adopted capitalism.

The book provides new ways to think about institutions and the process of reforming them and explains how we should go about reformation as a nation. The principles given in this book apply to institutions of government and business in all countries. Timely and incisive, Redesigning the Aeroplane While Flying addresses the most essential need of the hour.

First it was The Accidental Prime Minister by Sanjaya Baru, then Crusader or Conspirator by PC Parakh and now Aeroplane While Flying – Reforming Institutions. Arun Maira. It seems to be raining of Political books on the UPA government. 

Well I cannot understand what are their real intentions in releasing these books during the election or just before election, but what is clear that all are expecting Congress losing election 2014 and thus can write and release their books without fear. 

I’m looking forward to read  Aeroplane While Flying – Reforming Institutions by Arun Maira and will review the book soon.
