'Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns' by Lauren Weisberger

After taking almost a decade and three novels old Lauren Weisberger has come up with the sequel of The Devil Wears Prada–Revenge Wears Prada:The Devil Return. My niece got the book from Amazon.com and I shamelessly took the book from her just to be the first to read the book. I was too enthusiastic to read the further about the face off between Andy and the nasty Miranda. Little I knew, that my zealous will be very short lived.

Miranda is every where in the book. Though physically she appears a little later but her shadow is there to haunt Andy even after 10 years of her Paris downright affront to Miranda. Though she never regrets it nor we as readers. Andy dreads at the thought of Miranda.

Miranda appears in the scene but this time wearing a mask. A mask of softness. It is only once she shows off her real face to Andy. It will make you sit straight and read the book with full concentration. There is also a twist in the book which will blow you off for few minutes.

But otherwise there is no ex factor in the book. It has a very ordinary plot, written in the third person, and the book is fairly predictable. The book is good in patches but sadly those patches are very few. The desire to see Miranda defeated and outsmarted remains unsatisfied.

Verdict: So So. Donot read the book with too much expectation.
