I’m eagerly waiting for October to come. There is a list of whole lot of exciting books which are lined up to be released in Ocotber, 2013. I just can’t wait to put my hands on some of the most awaited books of this month. Here are some of the hot releases of October,2013.
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt is the most expected book of the October month, 2013. It has already been the amazon editor’s best book of October. The book will be released on 22nd October in US but is already up for pre order in Amazon and whoever read the advance readers copy writes that it is a mindblowing book and they cried their heart out. House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus) by American author Rick Riordan. House of Hades is the fourth book in the five book series of The Heroes of Olympus. Percy Jackson and Annabeth are in their quest for the mortal side of the Doors of Death. They are aided by five demigods. Together they have to survive the House of Hades in order to seal the Doors of Death. If they fail to do so there’s a legion of bloodthirsty monsters waiting for them to break the hell on Earth. The next book is The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. The book has already released in US but it will be available for Indian reader from 2nd October, 2013. The book lovers might definitely know that this book has been on the shortlisted of Man Booker Prize 2013. It is an epic book with 832 pages. Set in 19th century the book is about Walter Moody has come to make his fortune upon the New Zealand goldfields. On the night of his arrival, he stumbles across a tense gathering of twelve local men, who have met in secret to discuss a series of unsolved crimes. After the Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi, another book based on Hindu mythology is all set to release. It is written by Dr. Devdutt Pattanaik the author of a Jaya: An Illustrated Retelling of the Mahabharata. This time Dr. Devdutt is retelling the story of Ramayana from the Sita’s point of view. This will be the first female version of Ramayana. Jaya is the excellent retelling of Mahabharata and my expectation with Sita are sky high. But I know, I’ll not be disappointed.
