When it comes presenting a gift or rewards to a book lovers things seems to be so easy. There is no need to rack the brains for ideas. Well this is what my husband and friend has to say. They don’t have to think about the gift they should give me. What better gift other than favorite book box sets for a book worm like me. One can never go wrong with it. Thinking about it I thought to make a list of famous book series and best price in which you can get to present them to your loved one and of course there is no harm in pampering your self with one.
Following is the list of the most cherished series by any book lovers. So these series need no special mention. So I’m giving the summary of the series a miss. Here goes the list:
Harry Potter Books Box Set: Harry Potter by JK Rowling is the evergreen saga of the Hogwart wizardly world. People of all age groups specially kids have simply adored every book of this series. What’s the best Harry Potter series has been translated into many other languages but I have searched only for Harry Potter series in Hindi.
The Bartimaeus Trilogy Boxed Set:The Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud makes a wonderful read. Full of fictional as well as real life events. All the three books in the series are well-written, well-characterized, well-plotted, witty twist and turns enough to keep you at the edge of your seat all the time.
Twilight Book Box Set: A complex love story of human girl and a vampire written by Stephanie Meyer etched in the hearts of thousands of teen. The twilight saga set books could be a very good valentine gift.
Tintin Book Set Box:As a kid, I’ve read many detective thriller books series like famous five, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys but the series which I still love to read is Tintin by Steven Spielberg. I guess there won’t be many kids of my time who haven’t heard about Tintin, or read Tintin comics, adored Tintin accessories or watched Tintin movies. They are still a rage and also a perfect gift for your own kids or to relive your childhood days.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid:Another popular series for kids and teens these days is Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. Though I’ve read only the newly released book Diary of a Wimpy Kid Hard Luck which is book number 8 in the series but one who have read simply has loved the series.
The Lord of the Rings by J.J.R. Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings is one such series which is very popular specially the movie adaptation but I some how never liked it. There is too much of violence and cold blooded murders in the series that it was not even possible for me to complete even a single chapter of the book. But this is strictly a personal choice. You might differ from me or the one whom you love to gift the series.
Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi :If you love reading about Hindu mythological then Shiva Trilogy by Amish Tripathi is a must read. First two books are excellent piece of work in the series. Third one is also a must read as all the questions are answered in last part of the series. Of course human beings can’t live in suspense. This series has been translated in to other regional languages like Hindi, Telugu, Gujarati and Marathi.
