touch and feel book

My entire family is a bibliophile. Except a few all are avid readers. So when my son was born we all thought he will like books as well. But sadly that was not the case.

He simply used to cover his ears with his hands as his indicatetion to finish the reading session, Please. A very smart move by a 6 month old infant. I tried many other ways but it lead to tearing of pages by the age of 10 months. I gave up for a while until I stumble upon board books and especially touch and feel board book on Amazon India.

I order one of them after reading the reviews and praying that he will at least like it. To my utter surprise my son simply loved the book and to my relief he can not tear it apart.

Whoever are the masterminds behind these touch and feel books I must admit are one of the unique creative minds of our planet. In this particular touch and feel book, well I don’t know of others, the writer has incorporated every possible thing which are bound to hold the attention of child. Moreover there are so many facets in the single book that the novelty factor doesn’t die for the kids and my son keep coming up to me to play with the book.

There are flaps to lift, die-cut pieces, mirrors, various textures, cutely and smartly crafted animals, peek a boo, car, flowers, clouds, birds, shapes. Each pages leads to surprises in the next page. It simply an awesome book for infants and toddlers.

Though the flips in the book are tear-able but otherwise the board book quality is of top notch. My son throws it away, pour water on it but it has survived all the possible manhandling and still is holding the fort.

The Verdict: It was indeed an intelligent buy. These concept books are the great way to introduce your baby to books.
