History is always told from the the victor’s side. But Anand Neelakantan thinks otherwise. Author of Asura- Tale of the Vanquished, Anand Neelakantan is back with his new book Ajaya – Epic of the Kaurava Clan. Anand loves to write the stories from the point of view of the neglected and defeated characters which are most hated for their heinous crimes.
While Asura was told from the Ravan or Dashanand perspective of the story of Ramayana, his forth coming book Ajaya – Epic of the Kaurava Clan is written from the point of view of Duryodhana, the eldest Kaurava and the most hated character of Mahabharata epic.
According to Anand Neelakantan, the word Ajaya means the one who is unconquerable. So Ajaya is a story of such heroes like Ekalavya, Karna and Aswathama with greater emphasis on Duryodhana or as named as Suyodhana in the book.
Ajaya will be published in two parts. On Dec 1st, the first part Roll of the dice will be out. On Aug 15th, 2014, Rise of Kali, the second part of Ajaya series will be out.
Anand will be flip the story of Mahabharata where Pandavas becomes villain and Kauravas be Heroes. We all have grown up hating Kauravas especially Duryodhana.
Now how well Anand Neelakantan retells the Mahabharata epic with Duryodhana as its central character will be seen once the book releases in 1st December 2013.
