Very soon on 11th December, 2014 we will get to read India’s story in 1970’s under Indira Gandhi penned by the present President of India, Pranab Mukherjee. Lot of things happened in India during that decade like political and economic evolution, India Pakistan war, midterm resignation, emergency, nationalisation of banks. Pranab Mukherjee was a keen observant of these events. He joined politics in 1969 and quickly became deputy minister under Indira Gandhi.

The book is based on the journals and notes written by Pranab and promises to give inside story about these events. These memoirs of Pranab Mukherjee will release in three volumes. The first volume will be about Indira Gandhi period from 1970 to 1980. The second one will be on the years between 1981-1988 and third will be between 1988 to 2012.
