The much awaited book cover of 2014 has been revealed. The Blood of Olympus has finally received a face. Its cover has been released.  We could be our favorite demigod in action while the giants are helplessly looking around. The cover doesn’t give up the plot. 

According to the tweets of Rick, the book has been completed and is in the editing. But it will not released before 7th Oct, 2014.

After the cover has been released, all are eagerly waiting for some sneak peek. But we don’t have to wait for too long. The first chapter is from the Jason’s point of view, who along with Piper, and Annabeth are trying to befriend some ghosts at the ancient palace of Odysseus. It seems action starts from the very first chapter.

Many of us very anxious who will die in the Blood of Olympus book but I think lets not worry about it and instead enjoy the action packed Staff of Serapis. But one thing is for sure that two demigods will die during the process to save earth. Now who those will be could only be known once The Blood Olympus releases.  The fourth book The House of Hades ends with the closing of Doors of Death and Percy and groups beginning of another journey to Athens. So one can predict that Fifth and final book The Blood of Olympus will deal with Gaea. Does she wakes up or Demigods reach in time. What role statue of Athena Parthenos has in this book? Though the Greek and Roman crew members of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen-all of them, and they’re stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens. She needs their blood-the blood of Olympus-in order to wake.

The demigods are having more frequent visions of a terrible battle at Camp Half-Blood. The Roman legion from Camp Jupiter, led by Octavian, is almost within striking distance. Though it is tempting to take the Athena Parthenos to Athens to use as a secret weapon, the friends know that the huge statue belongs back on Long Island, where it might be able to stop a war between the two camps.

The Athena Parthenos will go west; the Argo II will go east. The gods, still suffering from multiple personality disorder, are useless. How can a handful of young demigods hope to persevere against Gaea’s army of powerful giants? As dangerous as it is to head to Athens, they have no other option.
